"Kang does not give up, primitive."
―Kang to Iron Man[src]

Kang the Conqueror is a time-travelling conqueror from the 41st century and an adversary of the Avengers (Mainly Captain America as an archenemy of destroying his timeline for the victory of World War II against Hydra).

History[]

Biography[]

"They are nothing to me!”

-- 'Kang the Conqueror' [src]

Kang is the ruler of Earth in the 41st century. However, due to a disruption in the space-time continuum, humanity is wiped out during a war between the Kree and the Skrull in the early 21st century, and his empire is erased retroactively, leaving Earth a barren and dead planet.

He traced the temporal disruption to one person: Captain America. Believing that Captain America's presence in the 21st century is the reason Earth was devastated, Kang orders his fleet to jump to the 21st century and eliminate the Captain.

However, just as his flagship, the Damocles, was about to initiate Chrono jump, Kang's wife, Ravonna, was caught in the time disturbance. She went into a coma and began experiencing "time dissolution", which is slowly erasing her from existence.

Determined to save both his empire and his lover, Kang attacked the Avengers Mansion in an attempt to kill Captain America, but was defeated by the combined effort of the Avengers. Realizing that the Avengers will not surrender Captain America, he launched a full invasion of Earth, simultaneously attacking every strategically important location on the planet. Planning to boost Earth's technology level to the point where it can withstand the alien invaders. However, the Avengers boarded the Damocles themselves and de-synced his entire fleet from the timeline, sending them back to the 41st century.

Kang engaged both Captain America and Iron Man during battle but was defeated once again. Just as Iron Man was about to send the Damocles back to its own time, he was stopped by Wasp, who told them that Ravonna would die if she is sent back. Kang was captured and imprisoned in Prison 42, but warns the Avengers that Captain America would eventually betray them and that "the worst has yet to come".

His flagship, the Damocles, was taken over by S.H.I.E.L.D. and later became the headquarters of S.W.O.R.D. Ravonna was taken to the Baxter Building, where Reed Richards worked on restoring her.

When Captain Marvel was brought to Prison 42, Kang was looking at him, knowing the Kree played a role in destroying his timeline.

Eventually, he was freed from imprisonment by his alternate-timeline counterparts, the Council of Kangs. After he was freed, he modified the Stark Tower's Arc Reactor into a time machine, planning on shifting his empire into the present. However, he was stopped by the New Avengers and he was trapped in his own time machine as his new prison cell forever.

Physical appearance[]

His appearance is nearly based from his mainstream counterpart but trimmed. Even without the helmet, he does not look human.

Personality[]

Kang is egotistical and ruthless, believing himself to be the rightful ruler of Earth and considering the inhabitants of the 21st century to be nothing more than "primitives". He is willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goals, going as far as launching a full-scale invasion on the 21st century Earth to ensure it can withstand the Kree and the Skrull. However, he does have a soft side, and seems to genuinely care for his wife, Ravonna.

Relationships[]

Ravonna[]

Ravonna is the woman Kang loves in the 41st century. When his future got wiped out, she got caught in it. He was keeping her alive but barely. Kang vows to save their timeline even if he had to conquer the 21st century.

Kree[]

Kang seems to despise the Kree as they were indirectly responsible for ravaging Earth and ruining his empire.

Avengers[]

Kang despises the Avengers not only for foiling his plans but he views them as apes compared to him and refuses to lose to them. Of all the Avengers, he despises Captain America the most due to his actions rather than personality.

Powers and Abilities[]

Kang has no superhuman abilities but is an extraordinary genius, an expert historical scholar, and a master physicist (specializing in time travel), engineer, technician, and military tactician .

    • Superhuman Durability: The armor can take hits from Hulk and Thor
